Do you like bananas? Do you like bread (be it white, brown, wholemeal or harvest grain)? If you've answered yes to these two questions, then keep on reading to discover a lovely healthy breakfast that makes eating breakfast a delight!
Grab your favourite type of bread... Whether it's whole meal, brown or white. Slice it with a medium thickness... But not so that it is too big to fit in the toaster...
Pop your sliced bread Into the toaster on a light/medium heat. Whilst the bread is toasting, grab your butter out the fridge. Why not put the kettle on for a cup of tea?
Butter your sliced bread with a small helping of butter or margarine. Let the butter soak into the bread..
Now slice up a small sized banana into sliced sized around 1-2cm in width... Make sure you cut up enough banana to place on half of the amount of toast you are having (so make sure the banana fills up 1 slice if you are having 2 slices)
To add a little bit of sweetness, dip a tea spoon into a honey pot and instantly remove it... Let some of it drip back into the honey pot... Then drizzle the honey on the teaspoon onto your piece of toast containing the banana.
Once you've drizzled on your honey (optional) put the toast together and cut either in half for triangle shaped toast, in 4, in6... Whatever you fancy... And that is your toast complete. Banana toastie with a small amount of drizzle honey...
This healthy breakfast provides one of your 5 a day of fruit. For a healthier option, use whole meal, brown or harvest grain bread. High in fibre!
