9 Ways To Relax At The End Of A Long Day
Step 1: get into your pjs/comfy clothes. Even if you feel most comfortable completely naked 😉
Step 2: get into bed. Get everything you need to get done around the house as soon as you can. Then crawl under the covers and get comfy!
Step 3: Light some candles. If certain smells make you feel relaxed, light your favorite candle and turn off the lights (just make sure to blow it out before you fall asleep!)
Step 4: Listen to relaxing music. Create a "chill" playlist and add all your favorite songs that put you at ease
Step 5: read a book. If you love reading, get cozy under the covers and lose yourself in an amazing world to get your mind off of your own
Step 6: before you go to sleep, make some camomile tea. Chamomile tea (and camomile in general) helps promote sleep
Step 7: take an epsom salt bath. epsom is known for helping to relax your muscles. Many epsom bath products are mixed with other ingredients that promote sleep and relaxation
Step 8: do some bedtime stretching. Stretching can help relax your muscles and lower your heart rate. Just make sure to take the stretches slowly, and concentrate on slowing your breaths
Step 9: try ASMR videos. If you find that certain sounds (like whispering, tapping, etc.) relax you, you may enjoy asmr videos. Watch them either to help relax or even to fall asleep
As a side note: ASMR may be creepy for some (especially when you first discover them). ASMR is based on "triggers" which can cause both mental and physical reactions. It's just a matter of finding your own personal "triggers". Once you do, you'll be able to enjoy them to their full effect 😊
