7 Steps for Getting Over a Break-Up
Realize That It's Over ♡ Don't pretend that it didn't happen, & just take in the fact that it's over. You broke up for a reason, & getting back together won't make anything better. Until you can accept this, you can't start healing.
Get Sad ♡ It's okay to be sad. It's worse to hold it all in, because at some point it's gonna blow up. Go out there. Get some ice cream, a cheesy romance movie, & cry your eyes out. Vent to your friends. Delete old pictures.
Leave Your Ex Alone ♡ Don't go calling them. Don't write them a message. You need a little time apart, in order to stop hurting. Resist the urge.
Keep Yourself Busy ♡ After your little "Get Sad" Phase, that's enough of the whole moping around. Don't just sit in your room feeling sorry for yourself & missing them. Get out there. Hang out with friends. Join a sport. Keep your mind off of them as best as you can.
Snap Out Of It ♡ You may find your thoughts trailing back to your ex all the time. Replace those memories with happy thoughts. There's no use on dwelling on the sad stuff.
Make A Change ♡ After a break-up is a great time to have a fresh start. Get a make-over. Redecorate your room. Join another sport.
Let Time Go By ♡ Time truly heals all things. It may take weeks, months, or even years. Just as long as your feeling less sad than you were yesterday, you're progressing.
