This will only work if you follow these rules strictly, I carried this detox out for 2 weeks and the end result was awesome! nicer skin, healthy hair and a nice little bit of weight loss.
I know this may not be the most exciting thing to eat but it has been proven that people who eat eggs for breakfast are generally slimmer than those who don't.
Boiled, scrambled or in an omelette. To keep it exciting I added chives to my eggs in the morning.
drink as much water as possible, and stuck to it! Excellent in its aid with weight loss but also skin and hair too! Keep a litre bottle with you at all times to make sure you won't forget to drink all you need.
as for eating lunch and dinner, basmati rice was my staple to all my meals! Only basmati though, other rices will be no good for your detox. My favourite thing to do was to scramble and egg and once the rice was boiled chuck it into the frying pan (with coconut oil) and fry for a little while!
chicken is an excellent source of protein, but very lean at the same time. Try to include meat in all your evening meals, Cook your chicken in the oven with some chillis and garlic and put with your rice for a tasty meal.
this is where many people go wrong, make sure to cook with the right oils. I mainly used coconut oil and extra virgin olive oil (which makes your skin and hair healthy too!) Completely cut out vegetable oil from your diet to encourage weight loss.
My absolute saviour! In between meals drink as much green tea as you can, by the end of the 2 weeks you'll be feeling great! Also great in its aid with weight loss, I recommend buying caffeine free green tea as sometimes it kept me up in the nights!
The trick to this detox is to look at what your eating, know what is going into your body. 'Healthy' ready meals are absolutely no good, and avoid using a microwave the whole 2 weeks. I used mainly fresh ingredients that I know didn't have any added ingredients.
AVOID WEIGHING YOURSELF! The mistake I made on this detox was weighing myself much too often. Wait until your 2 weeks is up to weigh. You'll tend to lose the weight towards the end and will get disheartened weighing before these 2 weeks are up.
I'm not a big fan of exercise, but it will always help with your detox.
Even if you sit in your living room watching the exercise channel, try and do a little bit each day. It will help massively.
People are very misconstrued with the thought that fruit juices are good for you. They are not. They are packed full of Sugar and will not help you lose weight. If you chose to drink it, try and make it fresh yourself.
Here are a list of things to stay away from on your 2 week detox-
Any oils other than extra Virgin olive and coconut
no white carbs! These will store fat quickly in the bottom of your stomach and make you feel frumpy.
Actually, try and stay away from carbs all together! I know this may sound hard but it is just for 2 weeks, after your 2 weeks is up SLOWLY introduce carbs back into your diet.
As a substitute cook some sweet potato with your meals
No fizzy drinks
No alcohol (nope, not one bit!)
No microwaves, avoid cooking any food in your microwave
Carbs - opt for sweet potato if your craving your carbohydrates like crisps or chips.
Dairy - try drinking soy milk or unsweetened almond milk instead of normal milk.
Takeaway - fry some rice in coconut oil with a scrambled egg, some chilli powder and a pinch of coriander on top!
if at any point in the detox you feel unwell, then stop this diet. This diet did work for me, but does not mean it will work for everyone.
