4lbs pork neck bones
4lbs cut in pieces chicken breast
1 1/2 cans of hominy
1 pack of dry california chile
1 cabbage shredded
1 onion cut in small pieces
3 bunches of radishes
4 pieces of garlic
2 tbsp cumin granulated
2 tbsp dry oregano
Salt to taste
1 can salsa del pato
Directions: put a large pot 1/2 ways of water, wash the neck bones & put them to cook together with the hominy. While they r cooking put the chiles in hot water to soak for about 5 mins. Ur gonna need to cut the chicken breast in small pieces. Ur gonna Have 3 containers 1 for the shredded cabbage
One for the radishes cut into 4 pieces, another for the onion cut in small pieces. Ur gonna blend the chiles the garlic, cumin, & 1 tbsp of oregano with a lil bit of water. Ur gonna blend all the chiles & add the salsa del pato too. After an hour that the neck bones r cooking ur gonna take out the
Black stuff on top. Add half an onion to cook in their.Ur gonna need a strainer of the chile, u add the chile to the pot, when the meat is soft ur gonna add the chicken breast to it, let it boil for about 30 mins & Taste it to see if it needs more salt ur also gonna add the other tbsp of oregano.
Once all the meat is soft the posole is done. On ur plate ur gonna add cabbage, radishes, onion, lemon, chile & salt to taste if u like. U also eat the posole with tortilla chips or tostadas. Enjoy the delicious posole.
