💄 Cleaning Your Makeup Brushes & Sponges 💄
Cleaning your makeup brushes and sponges can be a pain and sometimes they don't even come clean.
I've found that a good thing to use is face wash! Especially for sponges. I use neutrogena's visibly clear facial wash and my sponges come out cleaner than anything I've used before. You just squirt a bit onto the sponge and rub the sponge between your hands and add a drop of water to make it bubbly. And then rinse until you can squeeze the sponge without bubbles coming out.
For my makeup brushes I simply put a dab of shampoo into a little dish with a drop of water. :)
I understand that not everyone will have this, but I buy it anyway as it's a great way of removing the makeup from your face too.
There are other brands out there that are a lot cheaper than the one I use. I'm sure all makeup remover/face washes will be the same, as long as it's meant for your face and also if possible a makeup remover.
The following photo is of the 3 main makeup brushes I use and a sponge after I washed them with my face wash. The outer brushes were black with eyeshadow. The middle was covered in foundation, and so was the sponge.
Remember Sponges should be cleaned after every couple of uses. I clean mine once/twice a week.
Brushes should be cleaned every other week.
