Activity For A Child With A Deployed Parent

  • Since we are experiencing our first deployment, my husband had a great idea to make this for our 6 year old to have a visual of how long until daddy comes home.

  • In one jar, there are stones, which indicate the number of days he will be gone, the other jar is empty, each day she transfers one stone over to the USA jar, this helps her have a better idea of how much longer she has until daddy will be home 😊

  • All you need is two jars, I used mason jars, and we printed out the flag of where is is going and the American flag, taped one to each jar, the stones I bought at the dollar tree, count them out and there you go! Easy but definitely helps and gives her something to look forward to 😊
